25th-26th October @ Kings Langley Secondary School.
Kings Langley Secondary School have very kindly agreed to host our Kings Langley World War 2 exhibition on the weekend of 25th-26th October 2025. The Kings Langley History Society will be telling the story of Kings Langley and our local area during WW2 and we need your help.
- We want to document and collect personal stories and family memories of the war years before they are lost.
- Were you an evacuee or did your family house evacuees?
- Were your relatives involved with the Home Guard, Air Raid Wardens, Special Constables, Auxiliary Fire Service, Land Army, etc.
- Does your family have any special war time memories of events in Kings Langley like the Nazi bombings and V1 rockets?
Do you have any old photos of war time Kings Langley?
If so please contact jasonsmith.kllhms@gmail.com
Whilst researching for the forthcoming Kings Langley at War Exhibition to be held 25-26th October and KL Secondary School, Jason found these photos of Barnes Farm taken in 1944.

Does anyone recognise the man and boy. Jason believes the farmer at Barnes Farm during WW2 was Gilbert Martin who had a son also called Gilbert. We would love to hear about any memories from people who worked on the local farms during WW2.
